Thomas Friedman is a master of logistics, scale, and structural beauty — the kind of tent expert who knows how to bring ambitious event visions to life. With a background that spans family-run operations to one of the largest tent manufacturers in the world, Thomas brings over three decades of experience to GYC Rentals.
He officially took ownership of Got You Cover’d in 1997, transforming a modest operation into a full-scale rental powerhouse. From 10 tents to 250+, from a handful of tables to a warehouse full of specialty inventory — Thomas built the foundation that allows us to serve everything from backyard weddings to multi-day festivals with precision and care.
Beyond installations, his real talent lies in understanding the full picture. From engineering custom CAD layouts to leading site checks and complex builds, Thomas is all about efficiency, client partnership, and quality. He’s also a founding member of the Central Coast Wedding Industry Awards — a longtime advocate for recognizing the talent that drives this industry forward.

Vanessa Friedman is the creative force shaping the visual identity of events across the Central Coast. As co-owner of GYC Rentals and founder of Bella Couture Linen, she leads with taste, expertise, and intention. Her career began in 2006 at Grand Event Rentals, followed by her work at Central Coast Tent and Party in 2014 — a trajectory that ultimately merged with GYC Rentals in 2019 and expanded our creative offerings tenfold.
Vanessa is known for her obsession with beautiful details and her drive to bring cutting-edge design to local celebrations. She travels the country (and beyond) sourcing rare pieces, studying event trends, and refining our inventory to reflect what’s timeless and next. Her work consistently influences the look and feel of weddings across the region — not just because she’s great at styling, but because she listens, adapts, and creates with the client in mind.
As the current President of Central Coast Wedding Professionals, Vanessa is a dedicated leader in the wedding and events industry. She champions collaboration, uplifts fellow vendors, and sets the tone for elevated design on the Central Coast.
